Questions
Common questions
Do you work with clients in Slovenia remotely?
Yes. I am based in Albania and work remotely across every market on this site. The practical constraint worth checking before scoping anything time-sensitive is working-hour overlap, not capability.
What language should a brand use in Slovenia?
Slovenian, a distinct South Slavic language that is not interchangeable with Croatian despite the proximity. English proficiency is high, and Italian and Hungarian have official status in specific border areas. The market is small enough that localisation cost per head of audience is high, which is a real planning consideration.
What advertising rules apply in Slovenia?
Consumer protection is enforced by the Market Inspectorate under the Zakon o varstvu potrošnikov, with self-regulation through the Slovenian Advertising Chamber and its code.
How does invoicing work for a client in Slovenia?
Standard EU reverse charge for B2B, in euro. Administrative standards are high and documentation is expected to be complete. For B2B services sold cross-border inside the EU the reverse charge applies (Article 44 of the VAT Directive): the invoice is issued without VAT and the client self-accounts for it under their own VAT number. A valid VIES-registered VAT number on both sides is what makes that work, so it gets confirmed before the engagement starts rather than at invoicing.
Which platforms should a brand in Slovenia prioritise?
Facebook and Instagram lead, with LinkedIn meaningful in a compact B2B community. TikTok is growing. The small population means influencer audiences are correspondingly small, and micro-creators with genuine local credibility outperform larger accounts.
How much does brand work for a Slovenian business cost?
Every engagement is scoped individually, because the work depends on where a brand already is rather than on a package tier. Pricing is agreed in writing before anything starts, and I will tell you if what you need is smaller than what you asked for.
