Questions
Common questions
Do you work with clients in Finland remotely?
Yes. I am based in Albania and work remotely across every market on this site. The practical constraint worth checking before scoping anything time-sensitive is working-hour overlap, not capability.
What language should a brand use in Finland?
Finnish and Swedish are both official, with Finnish dominant and a Swedish-speaking minority concentrated on the coast. Finnish is linguistically unrelated to its neighbours, so nothing translates across from Swedish or Estonian. English is strong in technology and among younger professionals.
What advertising rules apply in Finland?
The Kuluttajansuojalaki governs consumer protection, enforced by the Kilpailu- ja kuluttajavirasto (KKV) and the consumer ombudsman, with the Mainonnan eettinen neuvosto handling advertising ethics. Guidance on concealed advertising and influencer disclosure is explicit.
How does invoicing work for a client in Finland?
Standard EU reverse charge for B2B, in euro. Finland has a mature electronic invoicing culture and business clients frequently expect structured e-invoices rather than PDFs. For B2B services sold cross-border inside the EU the reverse charge applies (Article 44 of the VAT Directive): the invoice is issued without VAT and the client self-accounts for it under their own VAT number. A valid VIES-registered VAT number on both sides is what makes that work, so it gets confirmed before the engagement starts rather than at invoicing.
Which platforms should a brand in Finland prioritise?
Instagram, TikTok and YouTube lead consumer attention; LinkedIn is meaningful for B2B, particularly in technology and industrials. Facebook retains community reach. WhatsApp is widely used.
How much does brand work for a Finnish business cost?
Every engagement is scoped individually, because the work depends on where a brand already is rather than on a package tier. Pricing is agreed in writing before anything starts, and I will tell you if what you need is smaller than what you asked for.
