Questions
Common questions
Do you work with clients in Denmark remotely?
Yes. I am based in Albania and work remotely across every market on this site. The practical constraint worth checking before scoping anything time-sensitive is working-hour overlap, not capability.
What language should a brand use in Denmark?
Danish, with excellent English across business. Danish audiences favour understatement and humour, and respond poorly to formality or grandiosity. Direct translation from Swedish or Norwegian is noticed and resented.
What advertising rules apply in Denmark?
The Markedsføringsloven governs marketing, enforced by the Forbrugerombudsmanden, who publishes detailed practical guidance — including on influencer marketing and hidden advertising — and pursues cases actively. Denmark also has strict rules on unsolicited electronic marketing, with consent requirements that are tighter in practice than many assume.
How does invoicing work for a client in Denmark?
Standard EU reverse charge for B2B. Denmark is outside the eurozone and uses the krone, pegged to the euro, so currency risk is modest but the invoicing currency still needs agreeing up front. For B2B services sold cross-border inside the EU the reverse charge applies (Article 44 of the VAT Directive): the invoice is issued without VAT and the client self-accounts for it under their own VAT number. A valid VIES-registered VAT number on both sides is what makes that work, so it gets confirmed before the engagement starts rather than at invoicing.
Which platforms should a brand in Denmark prioritise?
Facebook retains stronger reach than in most of Western Europe, alongside Instagram and LinkedIn. TikTok is growing. Danish digital adoption is very high and mobile-first behaviour is the default.
How much does brand work for a Danish business cost?
Every engagement is scoped individually, because the work depends on where a brand already is rather than on a package tier. Pricing is agreed in writing before anything starts, and I will tell you if what you need is smaller than what you asked for.
