Questions
Common questions
Do you work with clients in Cyprus remotely?
Yes. I am based in Albania and work remotely across every market on this site. The practical constraint worth checking before scoping anything time-sensitive is working-hour overlap, not capability.
What language should a brand use in Cyprus?
Greek and Turkish are official; Greek dominates in the areas under government control. English is very widely used in business, law and finance as a legacy of the common-law legal system, which makes Cyprus unusually accessible for English-language work.
What advertising rules apply in Cyprus?
Consumer protection is enforced by the Consumer Protection Service under the relevant ministry, following the EU baseline. The legal system’s common-law heritage means contracting practice feels closer to the UK than to continental Europe.
How does invoicing work for a client in Cyprus?
Standard EU reverse charge for B2B, in euro. English-language contracting is standard, and the common-law framework makes agreements straightforward for UK-accustomed clients. For B2B services sold cross-border inside the EU the reverse charge applies (Article 44 of the VAT Directive): the invoice is issued without VAT and the client self-accounts for it under their own VAT number. A valid VIES-registered VAT number on both sides is what makes that work, so it gets confirmed before the engagement starts rather than at invoicing.
Which platforms should a brand in Cyprus prioritise?
Facebook and Instagram lead, with strong WhatsApp and Viber use. LinkedIn is meaningful in financial and professional services. The market is small and tightly networked.
How much does brand work for a Cypriot business cost?
Every engagement is scoped individually, because the work depends on where a brand already is rather than on a package tier. Pricing is agreed in writing before anything starts, and I will tell you if what you need is smaller than what you asked for.
